Most Canadians have less than $750 in emergency savings. The average cost of any emergency plumbing is over $800.

People need help.

We hope to be part of the solution.

Our Non-Profit Story

Welcome to Helping Communities Home Rehabilitation, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the living conditions of the most vulnerable members of our communities. Founded in March of 2023 by concerned Canadian volunteers and skilled workers, our mission is to address safety and repair issues in homes and habitations faced by the disabled, impoverished, and aged.

Many individuals and families find themselves living in unsafe or subpar housing, often due to a lack of funding, access to skilled workers, or communication barriers. At Helping Communities Home Rehabilitation, we believe that everyone deserves a safe and comfortable place to call home. That is why we have established a team of skilled volunteers and members who provide free or affordable housing rehabilitation, repairs, and skilled services.

Our founder, along with all current non-profit members and volunteers, has experienced firsthand the challenges of living in inadequate housing. We have seen elderly neighbours go without running water for months due to unaffordable plumbing repairs, and individuals with disabilities endure leaking roofs because they could not afford the cost of a professional repair.

Through our experiences helping friends and volunteering in our communities, we have witnessed an increasing number of repair and habitation problems going untreated due to high costs and a lack of available labour. We understand the constraints faced by professionals and believe that another type of organization is needed to provide urgent and critical assistance to those in need.

At Helping Communities Home Rehabilitation, we strive to bring shelter to minimum standards, ensuring that everyone has access to essential amenities such as water, electricity, heat, and safety from the elements. Our current plans involve recruiting and expanding our efforts to help more people within our serviced areas.

Help Others Live in Dignity Within Their Own Homes.

We believe that Canadians should at minimum have a warm and safe home with water, lighting, and other functional utilities.

A haven that is free from leaks, water damage, mold and technical gremlins.

With the high cost of repairs and lack of skilled labour everything, we believe we are moving in the wrong direction from our ideal, and we hope to be part of the solution.
